Discover the fascinating history of the Vonêche crystal manufactory, one of Europe’s most prestigious glassmaking centres in the early 19th century.
This immersive exhibition presents exceptional crystal pieces, historical reconstructions, a heritage film and the secrets of glassmaking craftsmanship.

A unique cultural experience in Wallonia, combining history, art and know-how.

An exceptional exhibition

The Vonêche crystal manufactory was the creation of a brilliant chemist, the French manufacturer Aimé-Gabriel d’Artigues (1773–1848). Active between 1802 and 1830, it played a key role in European crystal history and inspired major manufacturers such as Val-Saint-Lambert.

The exhibition features a remarkable selection of pieces from a collection recently acquired by the City of Beauraing, along with archives and immersive displays.
